I have a friend. His name is Gabriel. He is my
Golden Retriever. Canine Helpers sent Gabe to live with us over 2 years ago. Gabe is such a good friend to me. He accompanies me anywhere I go. He used to help me walk, but I cannot lean on him anymore. So, now, he walks beside me when I use my walker. He also stays by my side when I am in my wheelchair.  Gabriel goes to school with me. He picks up my pencils and pens if I drop them. He can even pick up a book. He also picks up my lunch money if I drop it on the floor.  Gabe is very quiet in school and at church. He seems to know when we have to be quiet. Gabe ignores distractions that most dogs will react to. He likes to watch animal shows on TV with me. He is so funny. He will get up and go to look behind the TV when the animals leave the TV screen.  Gabriel is not always on the job. He has playtime every day. Gabe loves to carry toys in his mouth and he even talks to me! He loves when I throw the toys for him to catch and return. For a special treat Gabe loves pig ears. He will jump and throw the pig ear in the air and catch it. He is so much fun. I love Gabe. I can’t imagine my life without him. He is my angel Gabriel.  Thank you so much for helping me to get Gabriel. My life is so much better with his help. I wish that every kid with a problem like mine would be able to get a dog like Gabe.
